The General Confederation of Labor in the Land of Israel is the successor of the General Federation of Hebrew Workers in Palestine. It is a Hebrew transliteration from the Histadrut, which means "Organize" or "Alliance". The organization was established in 1920, and it quickly became Israel's largest socio-economic organizations.
