Zionism, refers to the idea of the Jewish returning to Palestine.Labor Zionism is a product of the integration of Marxist economic theory under the socialist system with the Zionist theory, therefore it is also known as socialist Zionism. The labor Zionism originated in Europe, and Gordon was the main thinker of labor Zionist in the early stage of Palestine.Gordon was deeply influenced by Nietzsche and Tolstoy.Gordon's world view is rooted in the organic unity of the cosmos, and the belief that nature and man are one body.He believed that to change the physical and physical atrophy of Jews,as well as the mental and psychological distortion of the status quo,and realize the rebirth of national spirit,we must return to nature. But this spiritual rebirth is premised on the Jewish participation in individual labor.Gordon special promoting labor,he thinks through the land, labor, people can obtain not only freedom, people can realize their presence, but also can eliminate people from nature, from the phenomena of the universe, eventually become a lively, natural, and engaged in labor. Therefore, his followers call his worldview “religion of labor".With Gordon's thought on returning to natural and the “labor value” becoming popular,it has given ideology of worshipping physical labor.Under the influence of his theory, the scale of the second Aliyah has risen. After coming to Palestine, these pioneers actively participated in the labor movement and the earliest batch of labor parties in the Palestinian area has gradually emerged. At the same time, the second Aliyah's pioneers learned lessons from the failure of the first Aliyah and led the concept of the conquest of labor to areas where Jewish agriculture has not yet stepped in.The establishment of a group of collective agricultural settlements, the kibbutz.Unlike other labor Zionist thoughts, although there are some obvious socialist factors in Gordon's thinking,he does not consider himself as a socialist. He completely abandoned the Marxist class struggle theory and put forward a set of ideal nationalist theory.Gordon also paid attention to his national culture. The Young Workers' Party which he led contributed to the revival and promotion of Hebrew. As an important figure in the history of labor Zionism,Gordon's greatest contribution was the close integration of the labor Zionist theory with the Palestinian agricultural reclamation movement, whichchanged the nature of Zionism from a part of European life to the Middle East.An impetus to promote the development of the labor Zionist movement into an organized practice movement also made labor Zionism a key force in Zionism. At the same time,Gordon's ideas,by rejecting disperse Jews, advocated that Jews return to their own national homeland and get labor to obtain national rebirth. To a large extent, they played a prominent role in shaping the character of the new Jewish and modern Israeli nationals.Gordon's theory may have advantages and disadvantages, but it turns out that he correctly foresaw the role of labor in the development of the national movement in the future.Although in the development of Zionism, there are even greater thinkers than Gordon, but no one has more influence on the spirit of the Israeli national movement and its cause than Gordon.
