Foreign Affairs Of The Islamic World League In Saudi Arabia's Internal Affairs

The World Muslim League (WML) is a religious and non-governmental organizations established by the Saudi government's for fighting against the attack from the nationalism of Nasser and secularism as well as rising its reputation and influence power in the Islamic world in the 60s of 20th century. However, due to the deep historic and realistic relationship with the royalty of Saudi Arabia, the unique setup and functions of the World Muslim League has made a great influence to the domestic and the diplomatic affairs of Saudi government. What's made clear in chapter 1 is the historic background of the establishment of the World Muslim League including: the conflict between nationalism of Nasser and pan-Islamism as well as the interest pursuit of Egypt and Saudi Arabia. And then comes with the settings of different departments and their various functions. What has been made clear in chapter 2 is the characteristics of departments of WML and its different functions as well as the relationship between the WML and Islam religion, Mosque, Koran and the law of Islamic religion. And then the thesis analyzes the influence made by WML to domestic affairs of Saudi government. In chapter 3, the thesis mainly introduce the historic relationship between Saudi Royalty and Wahhabi religion and analyzes different influence to the diplomacy of Saudi Arabia made by the WML as well as the new trend that WML influence Saudi in the background of globalization by using cases. In chapter 4, this thesis assesses the constructive influence made to the Saudi government by the WML as well as the negative influence due to the inevitable weak points of itself. In the last chapter, this thesis tries to come up with the approaches using by the WML to participate in the Global Governance and then analyze the expression from the aspects of its influence in the theory of dialogue between different cultures as well as nontraditional security which makes it become a significant"Islamic sector".
