Our Government Public Crisis Management Mechanism

With the increase of public crisis events recently, the conflict problems appeared in our government information management system which is not adapt to outer environment. How to construct and make it perfect has been focused by society. The real meaning of the system is the interrelated function of information broadcasting and processing between government and society which exist in the proceeding of public crisis. In theory, the role of the perfect system is very important. On one hand, it can avoid spreading rumor. One the other hand, it can help the government make crisis decisions in order to control the event in time.The body of the article is made up of 3 parts. The first part introduces the general theory of public crisis information system. The second part involves the current state of our public crisis information system. On the basis of study, there are many problems in this system, as it is lack of information publicity and flexibility. Some information has not been published and the international communication is not good. At the same time, on the basis of relative theory and examples, the causes have been found from the points of macro and micro-environment. The suitable notion has not been formed in the government. The relative law does not existed, as well as the unsuitable structure of the traditional management system. The third part proposes suggestions on how to improve the public crisis information management system. These measures are including:creating new idea for government information management, legislating the needed law, forming suitable structure in order to make the good relationship between the government and the media, improve the variety of government management and upgrade the crisis management. I hope that these measures are put into practice and take into action, the ability of government to control crisis must be upgraded.
