Daozhao Constitutional Thinking

Li Dazhao, as one of the founders of the Communist Party of China, was a great proletarian revolutionary. He had a wide range of knowledge on many social science disciplines, and he had his unique insights on these disciplines, in particular had deep attainments in the theory of the Constitution. However, in a long time, theoretical research has been put in perspective of Marxism as a disseminator of Li Dazhao, as Li Dazhao jurists are not sufficient cause for concern. Li Dazhao is a rare Marxist jurists in the party's early days. He have systematically studied jurisprudence, constitutional law, criminal law, administrative law, economic law, International Law and others .He is also an outstanding modern Chinese thinkers, he has enormous literature in his life, and he has achievements in many areas of social science. This article is to explore the constitutional thinking of Li Dazhao. The full text systematically discussed the constitutional ideas of Li Dazhao from five sections. the second part analyzed the main elements of the constitutional thinking; the third part described the spirit of Li Dazhao's constitutional thinking; the fourth part discussed the concept of party politics; the fifth part gave objective assessment of the constitutional thinking. Although the constitutional thinking of Li Dazhao did not form a complete ideology system , and there were a lot of inadequacies. It represented the trend of the development of democracy in China, on behalf of the desire and thinking of intellectuals for constitutional in late Qing and early Republican period, and it provided some theoretical basis for the subsequent movement of the democratic constitutional government. Not only that, the constitutional thinking of Li Dazhao still has an important practical significance for today's socialist political civilization. The idea of "running the country according to the constitution," and "building a society ruled by law", have a clear-cut lead times and the history of predictability and still have important inspiration and guidance.
