British Welfare Reform On The Chinese Social Security System

As human society is developing and welfare in the people's life are more and more important. People's welfare requirements are increasingly high. In today, reforming and improving social welfare system has attracted worldwide attention.And research on the welfare system are also in a constantly adjust and change period. China is in an important stage of reform and development. For the reform and increasingly serious social problems, China's social security system is in a very critical juncture. Improving and perfecting the social security system has become the most urgent task in the current social construction. the welfare development of western countries has left us with valuable lessons. As a pioneer in establishing welfare state, as well as welfare reform,the Britain's welfare system has a demonstration effect. Studying Britain's welfare system is not only helpful for us in understanding foreign welfare theory, but also in improving and perfecting the social security system in China.This paper studies the reform of the British welfare system and learns a lesson for the social security system in China. Therefore, the first part analyses the reforms in Britain. The first part analyses the history of British traditional welfare system. And argue that the British welfare state is inevitable result of a combination of politics, economy and Social change. Then the paper summarizes the characteristics of its system. On this basis, the paper analyses the reasons for the reform of the British welfare system. Economic Globalization, Post-industrial society and deficiencies in the system is the mains reason for the reform. In this context, the British welfare system has undergone the change of the national center to multifaceted cooperation. The Second part analyses Chinese social security system. The paper also reviews the development of Chinese social security system. Then the part analyses the issues and challenges in Chinese social security system. Then based on the experiences of British welfare system reform, the author puts forward some advices for our country.
