The frontier defense of law is the important part of the legal system of the Tang Dynasty. This thesis demonstrates the law in the light of collation and research, according to study the implementation of the frontier law; it is helpful to understand China's ancient Tang Dynasty border issues and social relations. This paper illuminates the issues from three aspects as following:Chapter one, analyzes legal system of Tang Dynasty based on the historical documents, and stresses on"conspiracy of treason","Immigration","military management and defense","pothouse","the horse policy", to demonstrate that the frontier defense law filters in the whole Tang Dynasty law. The regulations, policy, laws and management system of the Tang central government agencies are conductive to stabilize border.Chapter two , discusses the translators of the Tang Dynasty and states legal requirements and implementation in detail. The translator of the Tang Dynasty not only plays an important role in defense affairs but also enhances the status gradually. This embodies on that the translators work in the government office, in addition, the law on translators has been improved.Chapter three, introduces"Naturalized persons of ancient China"in brief, point out that Naturalized persons include ethnic minorities who are not cultivation and foreigners, this depends on China view, Chinese view and Huaxia view of Tang-dynasty people, in addition, it has been confirmed by law. The regulations on Naturalized persons of ancient China in Tang are particular and systemic.Through analyzing the legal documents of Tang, reviewing the relevant legal provisions of the Tang frontier defense, it can conclude that the laws of the Tang play the roles which regulate social order, keep the frontier stability, and these laws receive favorable implementation.
