While since the 1990s, the universities of China have paid more attention to general education, some universities began to explore and make a try in this respect, therefore, the research on the curriculum modes of general education about the Liberal Arts College may be able to provide some references for us.This thesis adopted methodology of literature analysis, case study and comparative analysis, to examine the curriculum modes of general education about the Liberal Arts College. Firstly, it introduced the profiles of the American Liberal Arts College and its general education, on this basis, it pointed out that there were four curriculum modes of general education in Liberal Arts Colleges——Distributed Requirements, Great Books Program, Core Curriculum and Free Electives; then, it chose a few representative Liberal Arts Colleges to make case ananlysis; finally, it made a simple comparison among the four curriculum modes, and provided with several enlightenment.
