Taiwan, China, Primary And Secondary School Career Education Research

The education of career development is about life development, which helps the individuals get to know the real life and vocational world,pursue in the possibly right direction, and realize their dreams. So, it has a broader meaning compared with career planning. According to the career development theories, the primary and secondary schools falls upon the period of career explorations which is an early and important stage of career development. Therefore, it is a truly meaningful and an important issue to carry out career education according to physical and psychological characteristics of students during the period of primary and secondary schools.Nowadays the developed countries and areas have infused the career development into the curriculum and instruction of the basic education. Compared with these, the Chinese career education is relatively backward except Taiwan area. After years of practice and development, Career Education in Taiwan has been achieved abundant achievement, and it is worth to be referenced by Mainland.This paper is totally divided into five parts to analyze the Taiwan career education. The first part introduces and discusses the important theories of career education; the second part reviews the history of career development in Taiwan; the third part analyses the objective and content of career education; the fourth part is the point of the paper, it introduces and analyses the approach of career education in Middle and Elementary School in detail; the fifth part elaborates the supporting mechanism of career education. At the end of the paper, the author summarize the whole article, taking Taiwan career education as references, also gives his own suggestion on the middle and elementary schools in Mainland China.
