With its unique value and charm, tennis gains the preference from the majority of the mass sports fans, and slowly becomes a very popular recreational fitness sports. At the same time, as the popularization and development of tennis in the whole nation, tennis enters the universities gradually and is loved and accepted by the modern college students. It is now gradually developing and spreading in these colleges and universities.In these years, with the rapid development of tennis in colleges and universities, it has become one of the favorite sports among the modern college students. Developing tennis in colleges and universities can not only build up our body, entertain ourselves but help to cultivate students' interest and improve our culture and taste. Besides, having one more specialties can help the students to adjust themselves to the rapid development of society and facilitate them to have healthy body and mind which can improve college students' living standards and overall qualities which has become one of the effective methods in colleges and universities to improve the students' comprehensive qualities. Otherwise, tennis development in colleges and universities will affect those college students who are tennis fans to treat this sport as a life-long one. After entering society, they will continue playing tennis, and then their friends and colleagues will be affected. Most of the tennis fans take up this sport in order to build up their body and experience the difference existing between tennis and other sports which can profoundly suggest that college students have great interest in this new sport and also love it very much. We can see that most of the students take part in this sport with positive motivation. They think of tennis as an interesting, elegant and fashionable sport through which college students can not only steel their will and character but build up their body so as to equip them with stronger abilities to adjust to the society and compete with others and get upper hands over others in the current society. Meanwhile, tennis leaves people a traditional impression that it is an aristocratic and elegant sport which emphases etiquette, highlights the symbol of status and shows peace and friendliness, which is consistent with the current rapid developing situation of the society. Most of the colleges and universities in Chongqing have standard tennis courts and also provide tennis courses. However, the tennis courts are not enough for tennis teaching and studying and the equipment is insufficient which results in the reduction of the students number of taking this course and the cutting-down of the classes. The limitation of the tennis courts makes it hard for students to find a place to practice after class, so they cannot consolidate their skills which becomes the direct bottleneck of holding back the development of college tennis. At the same time, the quality of the tennis courts directly affects the participation of the students. Tennis courts with good quality and surroundings can attract many students. On the other side, terrible courts surroundings will bring bad effects. With the rapid development of current economy, the management of the gyms in colleges and universities is under reformation. Many colleges and universities adopt the strategy of using the courts with payment. However, the collect fees in colleges and universities are fewer than the charge standards in society-owned tennis courts and profit organizations which is a favorable thing to college students and teachers. Through knowing the related issues about the charge of tennis court, this thesis paper finds out that some students think that college tennis courts as the public athletic facilities should be open to all students free of charge. Meanwhile, some college students are for the current payment system, but they emphasize that they hope that the collect fees will not beyond the students'consuming ability. Tennis teachers in Chongqing colleges and universities and their teaching ability are not optimistic. On one hand, it has been a short time since tennis entered colleges and universities of Chongqing, so it has no firm base. The expansion and investment of tennis in colleges and universities are limited. As for the states of the tennis teachers in colleges, the quantity and quality are not good enough. On the other hand, those qualified ones with the ability of teaching tennis choose to go to the developed places. Although the number of the qualified teachers in Chongqing colleges and universities can narrowly meet the teaching needs, some of them are lacking in the degree of being professional and their athletic ability and other aspects also need to be improved. As a result, it is hard to carry out the tennis teaching programs. In some colleges and universities, they have no professional tennis teachers to deliver classes but only part-time teachers. Nevertheless, most of the students and teachers have hope for the development of tennis in colleges and universities in Chongqing. Tennis has won many people's fondness.
