One of the most important functions of university entrance exam is to promote the studying of the students, thus the math test of university entrance exam plays the leading role in mathematics teaching of the middle school, guiding the direction of running a school. Another important function of university entrance exam is to maintain the social fairness and stability. It is the rare fair competitive mechanism in the mind of ordinary people. The students who can't pass the exam only by 1 grade won't blame society and he government. Through exam, the students and their parents won't complain anyone. And math can play a major role as a basic subject through math test. It can examine the students' mastery degree of basic knowledge, basic skills in high school learning. In addition, it can also examine the students'understanding level of math's nature and their mathematical thinking pattern, plus their potential for further studying in university. Hence, math test plays an important role in university entrance exam; its function attracts more and more attention in the productive and social practice and the development of science and technology. The analysis of the math test questions is a subject deserving discussion and research.Four provinces such as Shandong have been carrying out the new curriculum reform of regular high school from 2004, and these four provinces reformed the university entrance exam for New Course Standard for the first time in 2007. Meanwhile, supported strongly by the government of Shandong province, the education department of Shandong province has been conducting the quality education vigorously from 2007, taking the correction of illegal school running as a breakthrough, putting an end to work overtime. So, how does the university entrance exam complete the transition successfully before and after the new curriculum reform. And what information it can provide for the reforms of new curriculum and university entrance exam. All the above questions became the focus of people's concern. The direction of the setting of university entrance exam paper determines the process and the efforts of the new curriculum reform in high school to a great degree. Therefore, mathematical paper of university entrance exam of Shandong province receives much concern. For the sake of further reform of the new curriculum and better revision of the university entrance exam, we should study up on the university entrance exam to self-examine and promote our mathematical teaching.This paper mainly analyzes the mathematical paper of university entrance exam of Shandong province of the latest five years from the following six aspects: the paper pattern and the distribution of knowledge points; emphasizing the examination of innovation ability; attaching great importance to formulating questions at the points where knowledge points joint; paying attention to the examination of mathematical thinking pattern; highlighting the examination of the new-added contents; the difference between liberal arts and science in mathematical paper of university entrance exam. In addition, this paper makes a vertical comparison of the latest five years mathematical paper of university entrance exam and a lateral comparison between liberal arts and science mathematical paper, mainly in the form of tables and examples. Also, the author attempts to predict the trend of mathematical paper setting of the university entrance exam of Shandong province.
