In the new period, the quality of personnel training and direction of our country are closely related with the ideological and political education of university students. However,which makes the ideological and political education of college students fail to achieve the expected purposes. In order to solve this problem, the improvement and innovation of methods are imperative. No matter in the past, present or future, the improvement and innovation of ideological and political education methods is a very important issue, which we must face. However, in the theoretical circles, so far, our discussion of the methods of the improvement and Innovation has mainly stayed in the surface of the theory, our practical aspects of specific research operations have been not sufficient, and also the effectiveness has been not ideal. Therefore,which the researchers need to face right now. This paper based on the background of the new era we face, made close connection with both characteristics of the times of the new era and the ideological and political education in the new requirements, adhered to the theory and practice of combining ideas from the method of it to start on the shortcomings and to study and improve in order to find a practical and appropriate method, which adapts to the features of Physical and mental development of the college students and can also be accepted by them. All of these provide some theories of educational practice reference and practical application, and enhance the effectiveness of the ideological and political education of college students.
