A Study On The Female State Of Life In Shanghai In The Early Years Of The Republic Of China

The Women Times founded in Shanghai in1911. It’s owner was Di Baoxian,the chief editors was Bao Tianxiao. The Women Times was printed and published byYouZheng Book Store. After seven years of irregular distribution, The Women Timesended, due to the factor of market.The women times was the first modern periodicals in China. In the history of thedevelopment of modern women periodicals.The Women times not only created asthe first financial women periodicals, but also objectively recorded the changes ofwomens life in the society,from Establishment of the republic of China to the earlystage of the May Fourth New Culture Movement. Now The Women Times acted as arare window to show what happened to women for the researches during early yearsof the republic of China.This article aims in study its establishment, depict what it shows, such aswomen concept change and real life state, based on female perspective. This articleis divided into the following four parts:The first part: from the publication of start up,and its dissolution, termination, readership, and edit expression analysis, to show themeaning of The Woman Time in female periodicals and its independentcharacter.The second part: read the content of The Women Times which presentedthe historical discipline and social an ideological trend, to explore how the womenconcept evolution step by step.The third part: through opinion of The Women Timesin the public field of vision, multiple roles of women in family life, contrast the sceneof real life case history, to reshow womens family life and status in the early years ofthe republic of China womens family status.The fourth part: through The WomenTime, to dug up the real life and awareness of women in the face of social andinstitutional changes，in school and society.
