| Art area activities have an important value on the development of preschool children. But in fact, art area activities did not play its proper value. There are many problems in practice.So the author tried to find problems by doing a questionnaire survey about the present situation of art area activities. The questionnaire is distributed to300preschool teachers of all-aged preschool classes in Nanjing from different urban district.Based on the researchers’observation and attitude to art area activities, in this study,the present situation of art area activities includes the present situation of teachers’understanding and of carrying out art area activities. The present situation of teachers’understanding includes teachers’understanding of the value,form of art area activities and the role of teachers in art area activities. Carrying out art area activities includes implementation, designing target and content of art area activities, setting environment of art area, teachers’behavior and children’behavior. As a result of the diversity of art area activities, part of the questionnaire examines the level of art area activities, and the other part of the objective multiple questions test the diversity of art area activities. Through the analysis of the questionnaire data,it shows that teachers have a basic understanding but there are some contradictory between their ideas and behavior.The level of art area activities is medium to high overall level, which scored the highest art district environment settings but overall did not reflect the significant group differences. Art area activities are of diversity, In art area activities, teachers control more than children having independence. Teachers pay much attention to the needs of children,but less attention to space designing. Teachers value observing and guiding,but they don’t often record.They focus more on children’s knowledge and skills. They guide children appropriately in a proper way timely.For art area activities in the various characteristics and problems, the paper has proposed targeted advice to improve carrying art area activities such as strengthen professional training, enhance the understanding of the art area activities; enhance the connection between art area activities and the other center activities at the same time keeping the dependence of art area activities;mobilize the enthusiasm of preschool children, highlighting the dominant position of children in art area activities; make the observation and guidance more scientific and suitability, etc. |
