Since2001, some sports colleges and universities in our countryhave begun to establish the arts related field. Chengdu Sports Institute which is to talentmarket demand as the starting point, set up the art, opened the dance professional in2008and added the aerobics course. It based on the arts dance learn professional talenttraining scheme, the organic combination of dance performances and sports, and askedthe students to learn all kinds of fitness dance, aerobics basic theory; Grasp the aerobics,the developing tendency of fitness dance; Grasp aerobics, hold relevant rules of thecontest, and cultivate students’ ability of competition organization and the referee workand aerobics fitness dance and training of basic ability, social fitness guidance of acourse. In recent years, for implementation of the notice "about strengthening higherschool undergraduate teaching work several opinions on improving the quality ofteaching” from the ministry of education, each college actively responses to the call ofthe ministry of education and to strengthen the reform of the school curriculum system.In the policy guidance and practical needs of the cultivation of the teaching reform andpractice ability, the students’ learning evaluation, as the part of curriculum reform, getmore and more attention from all walks of educational field. Most PE learningevaluations ignore students’ individual differences, over-emphasize on summativeevaluation and lack of evaluation content diversity, and many other problems. Toresolve these problems, the Arts Department of Chengdu Sports Institute introducedsome related requirements and methods, with the adhesion to the concepts of “Fusingthe sports and arts, Developing with characteristics”, in order to foster talents, to trainthe students’ capability of innovation and practice, and to reform and innovate students’learning evaluation. The students’ learning evaluation of the dancing aerobicscurriculum, as an important part of the curriculum implementation, is used as theassessment and feedback of the quality of the talents who is able to play, write anddirect, and has a profound effect on improving teaching quality, assessing students’cultivation goals, and achieving teaching targets.The object of study is the learning evaluation of students of the department’s dancefaculty who major in aerobics.The study analyses the content, method and results oflearning evaluation with the research method including questionnaire survey, expertinterview and field observation. The goal of this study is to get the actual situation oflearning evaluation of students of the department’s dance faculty who major in aerobicsand to provide countermeasures and suggestions to help department’s curriculum reformand the construction of learning evaluation system based on the theory and practice.This study draws conclusion as follows. 1. The content of learning evaluation of students of the department’s dance faculty whomajor in aerobics is comprehensive, which includes theory, technique, experimentalteaching and usual performance.2. The method of learning evaluation of students of the department’s dance faculty whomajor in aerobics is inclined to be diversified, which has the characteristics of thediversity of evaluation subject, the Integration of evaluation method and thedifferentiation of evaluation standard.3.Currently, there has been problems of earning evaluation of students of thedepartment’s dance faculty who major in aerobics including the singleness of theoreticalknowledge evaluation, the vagueness of the evaluation detail of competitionorganization and referee and the imperfect of the feedback of summative evaluationinformation.4.This study puts forward the countermeasures according to the problems: to explore thediversified method of theoretical knowledge evaluation; to develop and improve thelearning evaluation details of competition organization and referee; to create thestudents’ electronic portfolio to record the process and result of study, which improvethe feedback of summative evaluation information.
