With the development of times and the demand of marketeconomy, sports market has been a indispensable part of China’s social economicdevelopment. In the trend of global economic, more and more countries and areasregarded sports economy as a kind of market of deep potential. More and moreoperational clubs established one after another, integrating into the society. They arebecoming the places for citizens to exercise and for entertainment, which stimulus theincrease of the population of people who exercises. Table tennis club, as an emergingindustry, is still in the stage of pilot and exploratory stage, with an immaturemanagement model, will encounter many un certain factors. The management andoperation of table tennis clubs lack the support of theoretical system. Based on theresearch on the references both at home and boars, this thesis will put logical analysison the present status that Chengdu City is in and the problems that lie in it by using themethods of expert interviews, questionnaire survey and data statistics, and so on. It willfind out the problems and factors that influences the management of clubs from apractical point of view, combining with the hardware and software facilities, to putforward countermeasures and suggestions.Conclusions of the research are as follows:1. The distribution of the table tennis clubs in Chengdu are quite reasonable, mostof them exist in small or medium scale, while the mode of operation are variety, withmembership, public or mixed mode, which get a good operating efficiency.2. Most of the table tennis clubs exist with a multi operating model, but some of themare still lack of innovation, the facilities and the quality of service need to be improved.3. The everage of the coaches are too young, which lead to the lack of teachingexperience and continuing education. and what’s more, most of them are part-time job,quite satisfied with the salary, but meanwhile what we cannot ignore is the Potentialemployee-leaving because of the low reward, which is still exist in a small part of thecoaches.4. Most of the consumers are membership, the motivation is affected by the locationand transportation, and male consumers take a larger proportion than female.,widelydistributed in all ages and industry.5.New suggestion are needed according to the current situation, and improve theservice system and focus on talent cultivation. keep an eyes on the market trend. Andsubject to change the management idea to meet market.
