In2004, our country launched the Ordinary High School New Curriculum Experiment. Since then, many provinces across the country have begun applying the independent proposition method in a large scale. At present,16provinces and cities have applied the independent proposition method. As for the fact that different provinces and cities have applied different composition proposition styles for the College Entrance Examination (short for CEE below) in the past10years, it is necessary for us to conclude and analyze the country’s the CEE composition proposition in a macro point of view. Although the CEE composition proposition is only a small part of the entire educational plan, it correlates to many aspects of society, plays an important and significant role in students’development, and has drawn so much attention of all fields of society. The CEE composition proposition is a complicated, exquisite and systematic job, and embodies the value and learning orientations of Chinese teaching. We can research on some of our educational ideas and concepts through it.In the past10years, the country’s CEE composition proposition has obtained new achievements in many aspects. For example, some new concepts have been approved by students, teachers and scholars, reasonable and scientific proposition forms have been being examined, lots of new developments have been seen in writing instruction, and a revolution is striding towards the area further. The development of the CEE composition proposition in the past10years is specifically embodied in the aspects below:firstly, it has diversified proposition forms. So far, the CEE composition patterns include material composition, topic essay, thesis writing, new material writing, semi-thesis writing, material type thesis writing and so on. All these forms of writing obtain strong points from one another and discard their weak points, and the CEE composition proposition has gradually become compound. Secondly, the CEE composition proposition emphasizes rational thinking orientation. It begins stressing more on sensibility and rationality, which requires students to express their views with their real and unique ways of writing, and pays more attention to their thinking ability training and checking. Thirdly, the CEE composition proposition pays its special tribute to society and each individual person. It takes care of the life status of each examinee. By improving the humanity of each proposition, it stimulates students to feel touched and become socialized, so as to harvest humane care for students.However, as the CEE composition proposition develops, some deep-seated problems have increasingly become obvious. Affected by the CEE’s free style writing rule, the hype of full mark compositions and others, examinees have composed large numbers of articles without style in recent years. This exposes that the awareness of style writing in writing instruction is lacking. Free selection of styles is not equal to crazy style creation. Stylistic norms are the basic skills that middle school and high school students must master. Lacking stylistic norms in writing instruction will surely weaken students’basic writing abilities. The "faked open" proposition’s appearance is worth our rethinking. It is a forceful proposition with a lovely name, enjoys the opening reputation but is not really open, and also restricts students’conception of freedom. Critical thinking is another weak point of the CEE compositions in the country, for among the compositions are rarely seen creative views of students, who usually only gain a skin-deep idea about the essence of each problem. Therefore, they have gradually lost their acute perceptivities and thinking abilities towards all varieties of phenomena. The pattern of "public expressions" frequently seen in their compositions embodies their way of thinking has been ossified. This is against our "cultivating people" educational concept. The CEE composition proposition needs perfecting, constructing and innovating consistently. To solve these problems, we should rationally analyze and research in theory and in practice, so that the CEE composition proposition revolution can smoothly move forward.Researching on the development of the CEE composition proposition also means guiding writing instruction. On the one hand, by exploring proposition tendency, we can conduct our writing instruction on purpose; on the other hand, currently the CEE composition proposition is still in exploration. The reason why we discuss its disadvantages is to avoid producing a mistaken orientation for writing instruction. To writing instruction, the CEE composition proposition has drawn such enlightenments: students’basic writing skills are not qualified. Those CEE compositions without style hint that our writing instruction should emphasize "stylistic awareness"; teachers’ swimming examples while instructing students can reduce the side effect of high mark compositions somewhat. By participating in writing themselves and communicating with students, teachers can tell students when to dive and how to do it. This method will be very effective. In addition, during this instruction, teachers should help their students learn to take notice of society and themselves, and encourage students’individuality in writing. This is not only an embodiment of training students’ citizenship, but also an entrance of training their students to become "perfect humans". Students can read classic works, and edify themselves by reading them. Setting classic works as their writing examples is beneficial for each individual to improve their ideological levels and writing abilities. Thinking and writing are closely connected to each other. One of the most important ideas in writing instruction is to strengthen students’thinking ability training. This is what a Chinese teacher should take more notice of, for this is quite beneficial for students to improve their writing abilities and levels.
