After the reforms of Chinese Football Association in2012, Chengdu has beennominated as Pilot City of Chinese Football Development with Guangzhou, Dalian,Qingdao and Wuhan. Under the leading of CFA’s cadre, the five cities will carry outpilot actions. They will give full play to their own characteristics and advantages,integrate resources on exerting the roles of local government, society, clubs and schools,actively explore the new mode of the development of Chinese football, set up ascientific development structure, strengthen the foundation, and make scale effects onfootball population. Chengdu, as one of the first five pilot cities, should seize this rareopportunity, perfect Chengdu football environment, enhance the level of professionalfootball, meanwhile provide citizens with better public sport products, and improvethe life quality of Chengdu citizens. Build the city of chengdu football city brand, is thevision of around the city and city spirit culture brand of its value. Chengdu to build amodern international city, to achieve sound and rapid development, achieve becomeopen regional center and international city, should be "share". In the tide of globaleconomic integration and urbanization, the city brand as a kind of soft power, in theconstruction and development of the city have gradually showed significant role. Citybrand construction is a systematic project, needs the city brand positioning, design,marketing, management, implementation and integrated into the urban construction anddevelopment of each link.Based on the objective and detailed data and documents, this paper combines thetheory of city brand, the SWOT analysis, CIS theory of city image, and give advice onbasic construction of Chengdu City Football from various aspects, such as municipalconstruction, infrastructure construction, environmental protection, urban culture andtourism development. Basic Suggestions are as follows:(1) the concept of MI-recognition. For the development of the city and urbannatural, economic, and social functions of highly abstract and characterization. To buildthe city of chengdu football concept recognition system, mainly from the developmentstrategy, development goals and the safeguard measures in three aspects, comprehensivesystem to construct the concept of identification system.(2) the VI visual identification.
