Abstract:Teachers’ consciousness of professional development has become an important issue for both educational researchers and teachers because consciousness is reflected from behavior and discourse and vice verse consciousness also influence behavior. The specific research involves consciousness of independent development, consciousness of professional development, consciousness of professional self-development, consciousness of self professional development. As to the self professional development, Ye Lan divides it according to time dimension. Wu Weidong also divides it according to structure. Consciousness of self professional development in this thesis means teachers’knowledge and consciousness about experience that they have obtained in their teaching career and then to interpret and reconstruct it. From the content it includes teachers’professional self-awareness, self-needs professional, professional self-experience, professional self-monitoring and professional self-expectations. This thesis adopts educational narrative research method, collecting study object’s material, explaining and analyzing it in order to understand and study deeply of her inner world and learn her teaching experience.The object of the study is my supervisor during my teaching practice, teacher L. Teacher L was rewarded "An Advanced Teacher ","Advanced Moral Education Workers","the Famous Teacher in the Fifth City Meeting ","Advanced worker in Senior Three " and so on. She is full of teaching experience and high consciousness of professional self-development. According to the content of consciousness of professional self-development, this thesis will present17stories about teacher L’s consciousness of professional self-development. These stories include presupposed teaching rail, classroom control and management, monitoring diction, sufficient teaching content, students’cultivation of historical thinking ways, students’expectation and permitting, treating students equally, caring about students, cognition about history knowledge in senior schools, profession’s stress in initial stage, directions of hard working, planning future, self-adjustment, obtain of self-worth, teaching reflection, self-expect. From the analysis of teacher L’s stories, the thesis explores Mrs. L’s teaching behavior under the influence of consciousness of professional self-development and discuss the factors that affect Ms L. L’s consciousness of professional self-development, such as social culture, school atmosphere, L’s personality and so on.At the same time, at the end of the thesis, the author points out that whether teachers adopt narrative research to students who are also the master of the education to understand students’thought and behavior and also to realize the diversification of educational evaluation and measurement? The author hopes that this problem can arouse reader’s attention and they will continue to explore it in their practice.
