In twenty-first Century, the international competition is the competition of education,education reform is an important part of the country’s modernization development,the quality of education is closely related to the overall quality of the teachers.This study uses the literature method, questionnaire Survey, educational narrative research, education comparative study, the narrative study of lives.Focus on two issues: First, define the core concepts involved in the study,such as teachers’ specialization, teachers’ professional quality, teachers’ professional development and so on.According to the existing research,design "Kunming primary and secondary school teachers, academic leaders questionnaire",conducted on 300 key teachers and academic leaders in Kunming city,to understand the current situation of their professional development and the expectation for further professional development.Secondly, 6 primary school mathematics teachers, which have a great influence in Kunming, are selected as the research objects,describe and analyze the process of their professional development by using the "life narrative method".Through these two empirical studies,summarize the basic ways and methods of mathematics teachers’ professional development in primary schools,some suggestions for promoting primary school mathematics teacher professional development are put forward.This study has the following main conclusions:First, the professional growth of teachers is a dynamic process of development,it is the result of the interaction between external environment and internal demand.it is a process of continuous improvement of the professional quality of teachers.Second, the content of teacher professional growth is generally divided into three levels: professional knowledge,professional skills and professional affection.The professional knowledge includes knowledge of the subject,educational knowledge and practical knowledge. And the professional skills, including teaching skills and teaching ability.Professional affection reflects the teacher’s professional attitude, values, beliefs, interests and self training, etc.Third, teachers’ professional development needs to experience learning,reflection, action research, cooperation and so on.Fourth, there is a close relationship between the professional development of mathematics teachers and academic leaders and the social environment.Forming a teaching team in the school area is a powerful means to promote the professional development of Teachers.Government departments and schools should pay more attention to teachers’ professional growth.Cultivate the potential of teachers as a certain school leadership positions.To help the backbone teachers and academic leaders to reduce the sense of job burnout,enhance the desire and motivation to continue to grow.Fifth, the common point in the growth path of the backbone teachers and academic leaders lie in:have a strong professional belief,they can enhance their professional skills by working in the normal education and teaching,consciousness of lifelong learning,be good at working with colleagues or other teachers,to meet the appropriate guide in the process of professional development.
