Emergent writing is a significant aspect of child writing language acquisition. Emergent writing refers to the developmental process of beginning writing behaviors, which is acquired from the interaction of written language.By retrieving, there is little research on emergent writing in china. The conception of emergent writing, the test task and the methods of marking are very inconsistent in existing domestic and overseas research. Lily Chan and Chen Si use Chinese character writing task and free writing task. There are many test tasks abroad, such as writing letters, name, word, sentence, massage, shopping list. The results found that universal writing features develop before language-specific features. But researchers don’t reach an agreement on the developing stages of emergent writing. In addition, the study of relationship among print awareness, word recognition, visual recognition ability and emergent writing ability is relatively small. This study mainly contains three dimensions. The main purpose is:to explore the development of characters written ability of4to6years old children; Explore the development of written expression ability of4to6years old children; Explore the factors affecting the development of emergent writing ability. In the third study of the article, the author investigates the relationship between emergent writing ability and print awareness, wore recognition, visual recognition ability. Finally, we draw the following conclusions:Children’s ability to write Chinese characters developed rapidly from5to6years old. The writing of Chinese characters is in the bud when children are4years old. The writing of Chinese characters is in the transition stage when children are5years old. The development of writing Chinese characters is beginning to stabilize when children are6years old. Children’s written expression ability ran in parallel with the age. Children are unable to distinguish between writing and painting when they are4years old. Then they can master the general features of writing expression when5years old. After6years old, children can use strategy to express ideas creatively. The word recognition ability has a significant and stable contribution for Chinese pre-school children’s early writing ability.
