With the gradual deepening of humanism in the field of education,the focus ofeducational reform had begun to pay attention to the experience of the learners. Thispaper will from the theoretical point of view to do the experiential learning research,list the origins and development of the theory systematically and completely. Tracingto its source to grasp the profound meaning of the experiential learningfundamentally,thus to correctly guide the practice and get the desired effect.The one who proposed the experiential learning theory is American scholarDavid Cooper,but this is not the origins of the learning theory,nor as its developmentend. In view of Kolb’s experiential learning theory I explored its theoretical origins,thus the paper completed several researches in the following areas:First of all,according to the experiential learning theory proposed by DavidCooper,use the three major theory origins and characteristics of the experientiallearning theory as the clues and basic for tracing research. Secondly postponed cluesto sort out the experiential learning theory philosophical evolution: from Aristotelianproposed feeling epistemology to Francis Bacon use the experienced understandingprinciples to reshape the status of experience,John Locke then made the twoexperiences,finally,it goes to John Dewey’s naturalism experience philosophy. Withtrail again,according to the advance of time,I found the organic conflict brought byexperience in conflict sensitivity training is just the important impetus for experientiallearning. Then get the theoretical basic of experiential learning theory,according toanalyze the Piaget’s Genetic Epistemology. Further on the basic of the characteristics:dynamic and openness, put forward there are more new contributions to thedevelopment of experiential learning theory. Taylor used the experience effectively inthe curriculum and instruction,and anthropology give a new interpretation of thelearning context. Eventually,organize each of the above theory according to the logicand the order of time,constructing a frame structure and a chart of the experientiallearning basic theories,which work as the whole Original researching conclusions.
