A Study On The Theory And Practice Of The Reform Of Colleges And Universities In Kunming

Sports Meeting played as a significant platform to show the teaching effect andperformance of sports in University PE, it is also the important way to achieve thegoal of the schooling system PE and build up the campus culture. Therefore, to host asports meeting will influence the teaching effect, schooling system education, campusculture, etc. In modern times, because of the basis of our sports games had beeninfluenced by the western competitive sports games, today’s college sports meetingfocused on the setting of tracks, and the top athletes, we paid little or no attention tothe real problems which were brought by the increasing enrollment of the collegestudents. The students’ physique had dropped down; the students’ sports interests aregetting more and more colorful; The deficiency of the traditional sports games hasbecome more and more obvious. So, the research on how to reform the college sportsmeeting is very important.Based on this, the article uses the methods of literature review, interview,questionnaire survey, and mathematical statistics, compared with the Non-reformedUniversity, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics and reformed one,Southwest Forestry University. Mainly via the investigating the results on thequestionnaire surveys which were handed out to the students of these two universities,and calling or interviewing the teachers who teaches PE in the colleges anduniversities of Kunming City to make a further study on the specific details of theuniversity’s sports meeting, included the time, the funds, the setting of the games andhow to organize it. The study found that non-reformed university have manyproblems in hosting a sports meeting, the funds of sports meeting is short of moneyand the source is relatively narrow, the time for hosting the meeting is short andfrequency is low, the sports competitions are not abundant, participation of bothteachers and students is not active enough, the opening and closing ceremoniescontent was too procedural, the satisfaction of students towards the sports meeting isnot high, the value position for sports meeting has to improve a lot. Reformed University’s sports meeting also have such problems above, but they advocated"people-oriented" concept in hosting the sports meeting. According to the study, weneed to draw the experience of other countries’ universities and ShanghaiUniversity’s sports meeting to deal with the problems that existed in hosting thesports meeting of local colleges and universities and come up with the new reformingconcept of local government on putting forward the new policy to solve the problemsabove; the colleges and universities have to increase the source of funds, increase thefrequency of hosting the sports meeting, rich sports meeting events, enlarge students’participation, improve the opening and closing ceremonies content, enhance theorganizers’ awareness of innovation, value position of suggestions to perfect thesports meeting, and get the certain theory to affect the reformation of hosting sportsmeeting in Kunming universities. Making the school sports meeting really meet theneeds of the current reform situation; making the sports meeting combine with health,entertainment and athletics together and three-in-one educational.
