Environment is an important children’s development resource for children getexperience by interacting with the environment.However,teachers always ignore thechildren’s participation,needs, individual differences and even lack guiding in reality.As a result, effective interaction between children and the environment can’t beachieved. By assessment, promoting the interaction of the two and then changing theenvironment into resources are brought up.As the core of constructing the indexes of preschool environment assessment,the interaction shows the process quality in fact. This demands teachers to understandchildren and record their behaviors in the course and real situations. Being based onthis, the teachers are supposed to do actions to support and help children to interactwith the environment. All of those should be seen as the starting points forconstructing indexes. Then, in the trend of children-orientation and education valueinvolved in the environment, the interaction theory is penetrated into the indexes.Finally, under the guidance of the indexes, the teachers can try to research thechildren, the environment as well as their interaction, find more interactingopportunities and development possibilities and change it into children’s developmentresources ultimately.,According to the result of indexes choosing, five basic dimensions areconfirmed: indoor space and equipment, outdoor layout、 paly organization、discipline,and personal relationship.
