With a junior class in a kindergarten in Nanjing as the research object,based on the qualitative research method,this study observes the interaction between children and teachers of this junior class during their adaptive period after children entering into the kindergarten,describes the various kinds of interactive behaviors between children and teachers in different adaptive states,summarizes the basic characteristics of interaction between children and teachers and the effective teaching skills in the adaptive period,has an in-depth analysis of the problems presented in the interaction between children and teachers in the adaptive period,and puts forward the corresponding educational suggestions based on the characteristics and problems summarized.The study shows that:(1)children in junior classes showed three different adaptive states after entering the kindergarten,that is,adaptive type,repeated type and slow type.Based on the classification of adaptive states of children,the interaction between children and teachers in the junior class in the adaptive period shows 9 performances,that is,paying close attention-intimate comfort,active share-natural guidance,seeking help-providing support,exploring the situation-regulating behaviors,strong resistance-soothing mood,enquiring performance-strengthening behaviors,specific resistance-active transfer,continuous crying-reach conventions,and seeking companionship-delayed gratification.(2)Overall,the interaction between children and teachers in the adaptive period shows the following characteristics:the interaction between children and teachers in the adaptive period tended to be emotional adaptation and normative guidance,and the frequency of interaction between children and teachers decreased with the increasing of the enrolling time.(3)Based on the interaction between children and teachers in the kindergarten,the effective teaching strategies can be clarified into the following four categories:the emotional solation strategy,highlighting strong points strategy,normative expression strategy and timey praises strategy.(4)The interaction between children and teachers in the adaptive period shows two problems,namely,teachers' "adult sense of sight" and children's"repeated behaviors".Based on the basic characteristics and problems exhibited in the interaction between children and teachers in the adaptive period,this study puts forward some educational suggestions from the perspective of teachers and cooperation between parents and kindergarten,namely,having conservations with children from the perspective of children and holding the right hand with the left hand.The study suggests that in the adaptive process of junior class,the parents and the kindergarten shall make more concerted efforts to help children better adapt to the collective life of the kindergarten.
