| At present, a new round of basic education curriculum reform is going on whichaims to promote students’ all-round development. The requirement of new curriculumreform is to carry out the new human-oriented education idea. It requires teachers andstudents to change the original way of teaching and learning and teachers should try tounderstand different students’ learning style, including the students’ physical andmental development of different ethnic minorities’ culture. Now the Ministry ofEducation attaches great importance to ethnic education and the percentage of thelocal minority junior middle school students is growing, which will bring newchallenges to teachers. Therefore, in the teaching process, teachers should considerlearning situation and the differences in learning style of different minority studentsso as to change their learning strategy in geography. In this paper, with the object ofstudents from different ethnic cultures, it makes a preliminary study on the problemsand learning strategy of geography learning in middle school. Based on theconclusion of this research, it puts forward some advice and countermeasures toimprove teaching quality of junior middle school geography. It also provides areference to the building of geography learning about junior middle school studentsfrom different national culture and gives an idea for education practice.This paper is made up of six parts. The first part is the introduction and the secondpart is a brief overview of the related concepts and theoretical basis of culture,national culture, knowledge, geography knowledge, geography learning and so on.The third part analyzes the characteristics of the jingpo people, the dai nationality andhan nationality culture from the two aspects of material culture and spiritual culture.The fourth part, from the learning style of junior middle school geography knowledgeabout know-what, know-why and emotional knowledge, the investigation, analysisand research focus on junior middle school geography’s learning strategies of thejingpo people, the dai nationality and han nationality students.In part five, accordingto the results of the investigation and analysis, it proposes some teaching suggestionson junior middle school geography knowledge learning based on different culturalbackground, such as cultivating learning interest; optimization of students’ knowledgestructure; helping students grasp junior middle school geography study methods byteaching. The last part has made the research conclusion of this paper and the futureprospects. |
