Ethnic minority culture and the mainstream culture of society is an important partof Chinese civilization. The diversity of culture makes the Chinese civilization has along and brilliant, in order to make it continue to spread and carry forward the Chinesecivilization, we have a responsibility to protect and inheritance of ethnic minorityculture. As the most widely applicable scope, has special readers of middle schoolhistory textbook is the best platform for the protection and inheritance of ethnic culture.In the face of increasingly diverse society, high school students is necessary to studyand master the different regions, countries and national history and culture and socialfashion. To strengthen the research of China’s ethnic minority culture, increase andimprove the history textbooks of ethnic cultural content and increasing the teachingpractice of ethnic cultural content, to high school students study Chinese history havepositive, positive effect, significance of protection and inheritance of ethnic minorityculture.The content of this article is divided into five parts. In the first part is introduction,put forward the history textbooks of ancient Chinese ethnic culture research background,this paper reviewed the research results of current history textbook reform, puts forwardthe research methods and research ideas, and makes the definition of ethnic minorities,and pointed out the purpose and significance of this paper studies. The second part ofhistory textbooks for high schools are statistics and analysis of ethnic cultural content,mainly is the study of the Chinese ancient ethnic minorities, and their historical figures,historical events and living areas. The third part of the design to history textbooks forhigh schools are of ancient Chinese ethnic minorities in the political systemconstruction, economic and business development, literature and art, social life andminority regime and the relationship between the central government, and so on. Thefourth part Outlines are minority cultural presentation in history textbooks,characteristics and disadvantages. The fifth part is about minority culture in historytextbooks for high schools are the drawbacks of teaching contents and operableSuggestions of teaching, and select "northern wei wen emperor first reform measures" as an example to explain the content of the ethnic minority culture and instructions. Thesixth part is the conclusion, summarized version of history textbook in the status quo ofethnic cultural content and the insufficiency, proposed the importance of the protectionand inheritance of ethnic minority culture.
