With the development of science and technology, the age of the economicglobalization has put higher request to education. Education is not just to improve thestudents’ scientific literacy any more now, but to satisfy the requirement of theirpromotion in whole life. Students can not acquire all of the knowledge, so that it is ofgreat significance of teaching students the methods and developing their abilitieswhich can be achieved by teaching students how to learn and think as well as tocultivating the students’ ability of life-long learning with which they are able to adaptto the developing society. Interests is the main impetus for physics learning andInquiry Learning is unparallel in developing the students’ interests of learning,compared with other learning method. At present, most of the researches aboutInquiry Learning have been done in schools which own well teaching hardware andstudents with full of enthusiasm. However, only little work was done in lots of poorschools in which exploring the laws of Inquiry Learning is of great significance.Based on constructivism theory and pragmatism, it is practical for this paper toresearch Inquiry Learning in mid-level schools where students are always unenergeticand passive to study. The main part includes:(1)We show the reason why to choosemiddle school students in mid-level district of Jinning county as object ofstudy;(2)After conducting a questionnaire survey about the current situation ofphysical Inquiry Learning abilities of those students, the result of the investigation isproposed and analyzed;(3)Conduct another questionnaire to find the factorsinfluencing the physical Inquiry Learning of those students. The survey consists oftwo parts. On the one hand, we try to find the factors from the perspective of studentsby surveying the students in Jinning number7middle school. On another hand, fromthe perspective of psychology, we try to find the factors by interviewing the teachersthere and analyze the results;(4) After rethinking results of survey mentioned, givesome advice about the Inquiry Learning in mid-level district according to thepractical researching done for the physical experimental teaching in middle schools inmid-level district and test its possibility by teaching experiments.
