In the high school mathematics’ field, the mean value inequality play an important role. For most students, the average value inequality is difficult to comprehend and significant for dealing with various examinations, such as mathematics competition. Especially for The College Entrance Examination, It has become contents checked frequently recently. The mean value inequality, for the students should been grasped what it is and how to learn it, for the teachers, is needed to known how to teach it. Therefore, doing some research about how to teach and to learn mean value inequality is of great value.In this paper, we have had immediate interviews with several excellent mathematical teachers working in the high school about the mean value inequality teaching, some conclusions which can been referred in the future teaching for the teachers have been made. meanwhile, the survey of the second degree students in the high school about the mean value inequality learning, including the degree of the comprehension and the grasp, the difficulties encountered, the mistakes to been made, some further analysis has also been made. According to the results obtained before, combined with the teaching practice, teaching plan and the teaching case analysis has been made, in the case the guiding teaching, different methods for the different students, orderly and gradual principle are applied to teach, focusing on the mathematical thought. In the process of teaching, the teacher not only teach students about the contents of mean inequality, more importantly, is to help students form a quality which is flexible, creative and agile, and to develop a habit which is independent, conscious and full of curiosity. And taking the questions from College Entrance Examination and contest in the past years as the reference, the application of the mean value inequality has been broaden.Finally, a summary of the article, the suggestions of mathematical teaching in the high school, the conclusions can be referred to teaching in the future.
