Presently,along with the rapid development of social economy in China, people’s living standards have greatly improved. The consumption structure of urban and rural residents has changed enormously for a long time; the main presentation is that the consumption proportion of maintaining the basic daily life has decreased apparently, while the consumption proportion for the cultural aspects has increased significantly. In the residents’ consumption structure, the cultural consumption has played a very important role. College students are undoubtedly the main force in the cultural consumption, always leading the trend of cultural consumption. But college students’ cultural consumption is very easily guided by the incorrect consumption concept, and college students haven’t yet formed a correct consumption concept. There are still a lot of bad consumption phenomena,and they have restrained the healthy growth of college students. Therefore, further study of college students’ cultural consumption in China has practical significance.This paper, with the research result on the spot, analyses the problem existing in college students’ cultural consumption in our country at present and also the origin of the problem. The last part of this paper puts forward some reasonable suggestions, guiding college students with a correct cultural consumption. First, cultivate college students with the correct concept of cultural consumption, and guide them with correct cultural consumption from the perspective of the main consumers; Second, create a good cultural consumption atmosphere on the campus, eliminate the interference of unhealthy culture; finally, create a healthy and big cultural consumption environment, including both the big environment-- the whole society and the small environment---a family as a unit. In short, push college students to build correct consumption concept in the aspect of cultural consumption and develop a correct consumer psychology.
