All human activities are accompanied by close contact material, texture. Objectiveobjects have material and texture characteristics, people in their daily life, often only payattention to its use capabilities, ignoring the aesthetic value of its specific material andtexture.In this paper, a study about the development of elementary school art curriculummaterials and texture, to enrich the students’ perception, to explore and develop the type ofthe current primary school curriculum in art materials, students of sensation and perceptionability, but also for the development of children’s imaginations and creativity to make auseful attempt. The study is the first stage of primary school (1--2year), the second phase(3--4year), the third stage (primary grades5-6) student, quantitative and qualitativeresearch methods combining Documentary research, theoretical research, case studies andsurveys of domestic and foreign research.Through finishing art curriculum standards, analysis of the different versions of theprimary school art textbooks, students carry out comparative studies and surveys in Britainart materials and textures teaching case, to understand the status of primary school teachingart texture, analyze elementary art teaching materials and texture objectives, content,methods, evaluation and other aspects of the problems. I discovered the key question: Inelementary school fine arts teaching, texture language is not isolated, it is dependent on thematerial. The key problem: the material and texture elementary art curriculum should andhistory of traditional culture and modern culture combined. By analyzing the materials,creating materials and creative theme, to solve these problems, the author proposes thecorresponding reform measures. First, according to "compulsory primary school art newcurriculum standards (2010)" in the "developing students’ perception and image thinkingability" through material and texture art courses expose students to practical matters andspecific environment, providing rich to thinking nutrition. Second, the clear teachingobjectives, select the appropriate primary contact with art mediums, combining moderncultural history of traditional culture or establish the course content, the development ofthree materials and texture of fine arts courses. Third, the use of flexible teaching methods,to carry out effective teaching practices. Case in curriculum design and teaching activities,emphasizing the students insights from experience and practice starting language learningand the use of the material texture properties, and help students to coordinate mediarelations good language practice material texture in the study.
