AbstractExperiential teaching is an educational practical activity in the teaching process to achieve the teaching targets. Teacher creates situation and atmosphere matched with teaching contents and student background to mobilize students’ past background and experience of life, and guide students to use positive emotion and cognition to experience teaching situation independently and creatively. The teachers and students can enjoy the process of teaching activities together, and the students can promote their integrated development and construct new knowledge by themselves at the same time.Experiential teaching of morality and life lesson is based on curriculum characteristics and teaching materials. The teacher creates life situations or activities suitable for children so that the children can directly construct knowledge in the process of accumulating experience and thinking, which can develop their innovation consciousness and practical ability, cultivate their love and creativity of life and make them learn how to care people with positive attitudes, emotional view and values.Implementation of experiential teaching in the morality and life class is the objective demand of new standards of morality and life lesson and establishment of new relationship between students and teachers, and it also fits in with the psychological and cognitive characteristics of lower grade students in primary school. Therefore, there is a certain necessity to implement experiential teaching in the morality and life lesson. Of course, experiential teaching is not just an armchair strategist. During the practical teaching process, the characteristics of experiential teaching should be mastered with skill, and the basic principles of creating a teaching situation should be followed. The implementation of the teaching process should focus on the creation principle. At the same time, teacher should pay attention to evaluation scale of experiential teaching and constantly reflect on teaching results. This paper tries to combine experiential teaching theories and practices based on past experience of experiential teaching, in order to be able to carry out a study in depth of experiential teaching.This paper is divided into theoretical part and practical part.The theoretical part consists of three parts. The first part is the introduction of experiential teaching, which mainly elaborates the basic meaning, characteristics,theoretical foundations and basic principles of experiential teaching. The second part analyzes in depth the necessity and basic requirements of experiential teaching based on the elaboration of significance of the morality and life class with experience teaching.The third part describes design, implementation and reflection of experience teaching.The practical part presents teaching process, methods, strategies and reflection of experiential teaching mainly based on the author’s teaching experiences of master education, taking new standards of morality and life lesson and physical truth of lower grade students in primary school in consideration.
