With the rapid development of information technology, modern educationaltechnology has a profound impact on all aspects of teaching. In terms of teacher’s lessonpreparation, many online lesson preparing systems based information technology havebeen developed, which gradually change the way of teachers’ preparing lessons. However,the current online preparing systems still have some disadvantages. One is it is stillexpressed in the form of text-based, which cause teachers too much time to describeteaching process and preparation efficiency is not high. On the other hand, people paymore attention to technology and the application of new technologies in the field of lessonpreparation than teachers’ development. The thesis aims to study online lesson preparingsystem based on mind map, which has been designed and guided by the theory of teachingdesign, the mind map theory and the information construction theory. The system isdeveloped by ASP language and the backstage is a SQL Server database server. In terms offunction, the system takes advantage of the new features of HTML5and jQuery Ajaxtechnology. The data of lesson preparation system and basic information are storedseparately. Data generated by the preparation is to be stored on the server with JSONformat. User information and lesson preparation information classified is to be stored in theSQL Server database. As a result, it can reduce the pressure on database access. The systemhas realized such operations as adding, deleting, moving a mind map nodes; modifyingtitles; setting colors; uploading pictures; exporting and so on. Users can create mind mapsin the system easily and conveniently. The system also make the preparation released,collection, classified browsing, retrieval and other functions possible. Teachers can use thissystem to edit, manage and share personal lesson preparations. Meanwhile they can browseother teachers’ lessons preparations and learn from them for secondary editing and sharing.The system is expressed in the form of mind maps as lesson preparing and the preparationforms of mind maps are combined with online preparation system. Therefore, it can solvethe problem of the single form from traditional preparation system expression and reduceteachers’ expression pressure sharply when preparing lessons. At the same time, it canimprove the efficiency of teachers’ preparation greatly. The mind map makes teachersfocus on the thinking process of teaching, improve the quality of preparation and promoteteachers’ professional development. The concise form of the mind map make it easier forteachers to rationalize the teaching ideas, grasp each teaching link and make it an organicwhole. In teaching research and exchanges, the online mind map preparing system alsoallows other teachers to grasp the idea of others’ preparation quickly, and improve the efficiency of teaching and research.This system based on combining mind maps and online lessons system, is a usefulexploration of visual instructional design and further enriches the current types of onlinepreparation system. It provides a new choice for teachers’ preparation. After a period oftesting from teachers’ preparation and through questionnaires, the system can meet theneeds of teachers’ preparation. The system obtained the recognition from the majority ofthe teachers and we received the expected results from the study.
