A Study On Teaching And Research In Lesson Preparing Group Under The Background Of The New Curriculum Reform

Lesson Preparing Group (LPG) is the smallest unit of school administration, a base of teaching and learning, improving the teaching quality, offering further studies for teachers, cultivating young teachers and exchanging messages or information in education as well.With the deepening of the new curriculum reform, people have more realized the important role teachers play in the implementation of curriculum. As a result, the greatest importance of all time has been attached to the professional development of teachers. The new curriculum offers teachers challenges as well as chances. In the face of many problems encountered in the new curriculum, the strength of individual teachers appears to be so weak. Therefore, it is particular important to carry out teamwork and give the collective force full play. Through various activities of teaching and research like collective lesson preparing in the harmonious atmosphere of cooperation in LPG, teachers can exploit their own particular advantages for mutual benefit , which contributes to the development of both teachers and schools.Practically, while teaching and research has been widely carried out in LPG of all schools, it does not work pretty effectively and has not been systematically studied in terms of its concept, format, contents and operation. The purpose of the study is to answer these questions, improve teaching and research in LPG, promote professional development of teachers and improve teaching quality as a whole.First of all , the thesis analyses the background and significance of the study, pointing out the challenges teachers face under the background of the new curriculum reform and the existing problems of teaching and research in LPG Also, the term of the research subject is defined, and the research approaches and plans introduced.Secondly, the thesis states the theory evidence of the study and relevant research made in China and abroad.Then comes the main part of the thesis which, through the analysis of 13 cases coming of practice, deals with the principle and policy of teaching and research, and introduces the types, modes, and contents of teaching and research activities in LPG.In the end, the results of the research are summarized, and reviews and suggestions made at the end of the chapter.
