The Application Of Music Teaching Method In The Education Of Children With Mental Disability

Mental retardation children is a class of special group in the society,nowdays, how to train the ability of their cultural knowledge and life is aproblem in the government and society to pay attention to the education.The author in view of the mental retardation children’s physical andmental characteristics and mood disorders, combined with what we havelearned to explore suitable for mental retardation children’s music teachingpractice. Research about autistic children and down syndrome children isthe key object of teaching，choose xi ’an special education school for theteaching unit, on the psychological and behavior characteristics of themental retardation children do discuss in detail, using combining ofliterature research method and comparative research method， efforts tomental retardation children’s music teaching from pure music knowledgegradually implanted into the targeted music comprehensive teaching andhumanistic care.Research has shown that music as a kind of external intervention canindirectly stimulate the mentally disabled children brain physiologicalstructure, so as to gradually make the child’s psychological characteristicsand behavior to change. Therefore, the author thinks that, the mentalretardation children’s music teaching should combine music therapy withmusic teaching method, through the music changing the body’s nervechemical stimulus---dopamine, a stress hormone, non-specific protein,oxytocin to participate in the reaction. The music psychology andneuroscience research integration into music teaching method, not onlycan make the mentally disabled children acquire a knowledge of music,more importantly, to develop music education itself more potential value,such as for mentally retarded children’s emotional regulation, emotionaltraining and behavior modification and so on. The tutor team in teachingand research in recent years, exploratory "music comprehensive teachingmethod" is proposed. Music comprehensive teaching method is based onthe orff music teaching, kodak, singing teaching, total grams rhodesposture rhythm teaching, suzuki, Gordon teaching music education idea, inview of the our country music education actual situation, and thephysiological and psychological ability of different school age students, do research on music teaching method. This teaching method consists ofnursery rhymes, singing, music and movement, and chorus teaching musicgames, orff instruments，such as the five teaching modules, each module,sui generis between modules and are closely linked. The author applied"music comprehensive teaching method" in practical teaching of mentallyretarded children, it is found that for mental retardation children,comprehensive school music teaching method has obvious advantages andfeasibility. On the basis of a lot of practice, the author selected three kindsof teaching mode, music game teaching method, method of teaching musicrhythm, orff music teaching method on mental retardation children inmusic education. In the process of teaching, teaching is not just a singlemodule of system, more time is three modules in series with each other,make sure that the music teaching more interesting and potentialtherapeutic value.Today,there are still a lot of substantive issues about mentalretardation children’s music teaching, teachers’ comprehensive qualities ofascension, the school the perfection of form a complete set of treatmentequipment, the government’s financial support, community care andhelpness, will be the focus on the main problem that the cause of mentalretardation children education in the future.
