Cooperative learning group is a kind of study way the current new curriculum reform advocated. From the long-term development of the students, it’s the most advantageous way to promote students’ all-round development. By means of literature study, I found that, in recent years, with the implement and promotion of the new curriculum,the study of cooperative learning in our country are rising, it also suggests that this area has gradually become a hot topic of researchers. And thus the ways of learning in junior middle school English classroom is more and more widely used. But the teaching experiments of group cooperative learning in China is still in its infancy, group cooperative learning in classroom situation is not ideal, inefficient or invalid phenomenon still exists. So, in order to learn more about the application situation and problems of the group cooperation in the junior middle school English classroom with first-hand the writer’s school in Dalian as the research, the writer tries to analyze it with the help of teachers’ interview and students’ questionnaire survey, and the use of cooperative learning group in own teaching practice, practice and research, discusses the factors affecting the effective implementation of the junior middle school English classroom group work, and analyze the causes of the current problems, and then extract constructive countermeasures on the basis of related theory and practice.The research results show that: the junior middle school English classroom for cooperative learning group has a very wide range of applications,. It indeed played a positive role for being active classroom atmosphere, promoting the exchange. But at the same time, it also appeared some problems in the process of the actual classroom, such as teachers lack of the theory of cooperative learning, classroom formalization; Students lack of team cooperation consciousness and cooperation skills, etc.Based on the above problems, this study put forward the corresponding countermeasures:(1) to build characteristic English classroom cooperative learning group(2) develop the students’ cooperation consciousness and cooperation skills(3) set up reasonable cooperation learning content and task(4) improve the group cooperative learning evaluation mechanism.Hope this research can make cooperative learning group play its effectiveness in junior middle school English classroom, stimulate students’ interest in learning English, reduce the two levels of differentiation, improve the level of students’ integrated English skills.
