In this paper, the author made a study and expand the analysis by making the questionnaire survey and interviews to teachers and students, and the author think that local history teaching is relatively weak in the middle schools of Taixing and local history teaching resources of Taixing has not been the development, utilization or played its due role.In this article, the author aimed at the current situation and the problems of local history teaching at middle school in Taxiing, and from the new curriculum reform concept and principle, The author think that using Local history in the history activity lesson can play the role of the local history resources. The author made the following researches:First, understand local history status, its role, and the necessity using local history in the history activity lesson;Second, use local history in the history activity lesson proactively;Third, List the specific case of using local history in the history activity lesson, and analyze the case and the effectiveness of the practice.The author thinks that using local history in the history activity lesson is able to carry out the three-dimensional teaching goals effectively:"knowledge and ability", "process and method", "emotional attitude and values". But there are some difficulties in the process of practice, This requires the transformation of concept and material support of students, parents, teachers, schools and the whole society.
