With the further development of new curriculum reform, the junior middle schoolhistory teaching pays more attention to the cultivation of the students’ ability. Because oflocal history’s distinctive geographical features, closer ties with students, it can betterstimulate students’ interests in learning history. Combining local history with nationaltextbooks can easily get the recognition of junior middle school students, they can learnhistory knowledge under the relaxed environment, and cultivate humanistic quality.Because of these, penetrating local history in the junior middle school history teaching hasgotten more and more junior middle school history teachers’ attention.From the constructivism, humanism, multiple intelligences theory and cognitiveassimilation theory, we find that, local history infiltration has feasibility in history teachingin junior middle school. In order to put the educational theory together with teachingpractice, local history infiltration should follow the scientific, ideological, target andmoderation principle. In the teaching practice, teaching, research learning, interspersedwith local history and local history detection practices and other local history infiltrationmethod can be used in history teaching in junior middle school. At present, due to a lack ofpolicies to promote, textbooks, and it doesn’t draw the students and parents’ attention, somost of local history is teacher’s personal behavior. Therefore, in addition to take measuresto change above situation, history teachers themselves must strengthen learning;meanwhile in order to promote the teaching of history in the local history infiltration itneeds to strengthen the cooperation between the teacher and the school.
