The model kindergarten is one of education systems through which the administrative departments improve the quality of the general kindergarten and achieve high quality of the whole kindergarten. But in recent years, it is questioned because of the role it plays not match the resources it gets.people also questioned it benefit narrow children. As one composed part of this system,assessment system should play an effective role in oversight and guidance the model kindergarten to help the others to improve the quality, but the current assessment value quality certification and contempt the role of demonstrating.so it urgently need reform.This research targets at the status of role the model kindergarten paying and the principal’s opinions on the model kindergarten system and the assessment system.Based on the above,it takes an questionnaire research with 112 principals of model kindergarten and 248 principals of general kindergarten in H province. It also takes deeply interview research with 8 model kindergarten principals and 1 educational administrative staff. The results shows that:1.Currently, it is doubtful that if the model kindergarten can enhance the teaching quality in general kindergarten.2.it is commonly believes that quality certification and role of demonstrating should be included in the assessment system and the definition of "demonstration mission" should be clearly.3.The current assessment of the value quality certification and contempt the role of demonstrating.and there is a lot of repetition between the model kindergarten assessment and degree assessment.Through tracing the history of model kindergarten, Rebuilding the purpose of assessment system from systematic perspective.And then,there is offers available proposes and measures for the model kindergarten assessment reform through comparing it with the Beacon School initiative of British.
