Mathematical introduction is a kind of thinking method, which is important in primary school. During primary education, some of the knowledge points are coming from the method of introduction. When the students use the method of introduction, it is good for their observational ability, analytical ability, capacity of generalization and inferential capability. Also it can inspire their thought and improve their creative consciousness. Therefore, it is very important to learn about the method of thinking during the primary education.The new curriculum standard mentioned the method of introduction; however, it is lack of detailed introduction. It is necessary to summarize the method of introduction in the primary textbooks, and know the current situation about it, then put forward some advice about it.The paper draws some conclusions from the textbooks analysis, teachers interview and the students’ current situation.1.The arrangements of the method of introduction in the textbooks are reasonable and meet the need of the characteristics of the students’ age.2.The teachers don’t really understand the meaning of the method of introduction and don’t have their own opinions about it either.3.The development of the students’ the method of introduction seems not well. The inferential capability is weak and the abstract ability of letters is not well.Therefore, according to the situation, the paper put forward some advice about how to use the method of introduction well. First of all, the teachers have to pay attention to the new curriculum standard and teach the students from different ways such as observation ability, interest of study, dare to speculate, do it by themselves and the ability to think. Also obey the rules of the textbooks and the development of the students’ age to train the students the method of introduction. And hope to give some useful advice to the teachers.
