According to the different contents of the study,middle school mathematics curriculum can be divided into different "modules" or "units",such as solid geometry,analytical geometry,probability and statistics,complex numbers and so on.Mathematics introduction course means that at the beginning of studying a "module" or "unit",the teacher first introduces the whole knowledge to the students and tells them what should get,and guides them to understand and experience new learning tasks.Thus better to complete the teaching transition,smooth into more specific,more detailed content of learning.How to improve the efficiency of mathematics teaching and the learning efficiency of students in high school,and how to stimulate students' interest in learning new content before class is getting deeper and deeper in the reform of basic education curriculum.Therefore,it is necessary for us to pay attention to the core problem we focus on.Mathematics introduction course has the function of "leading organizer" in teaching.And the part of introduction course gives students the direction to learn the whole module knowledge.This paper mainly includes four parts: the first part introduces the concept,research background and significance of the mathematics introduction course,and summarizes the current research situation of the introduction course at home and abroad;The second part analyses the theory with respect to the teaching of the mathematics introduction course.The third part uses questionnaire method and interview method to investigate some teachers and students in Yueyang city and Xiangyin county,in order to know about the current teaching situation of mathematics introduction course in senior high school,as well as analyze the reasons of the investigation results.The fourth part proposes some strategies for the teaching of mathematics introduction course and gives two examples for the teaching design of introduction teaching in senior high school.Based on the above study,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)The importance of the teaching of the senior high school mathematics introduction course with respect to common recognization has been reached,but the implementation of the introduction course in actual teaching is not optimistic.(2)The senior high school mathematics introduction course teaching has the higher requirement to the teacher.The teaching of the introduction course requires the teacher to solve the problems: why you teach,what to teach and how to teach,teachers should pay attention to the whole teaching design,the students' interest in learning,and the penetration of the mathematicsculture and the mathematics thought.
