As one of the oldest educational subjects,it is in constant reform.Our curriculum reform geometry content and requirements were changed,it more focused on the content and method of geometry,the geometry also requires a combination of teaching and real life,which raises concern and controversy educators and more and more educators to study it,in order to help the teaching of geometry,but students still have many problems in learning geometry.The present study was to investigate the difficulties of junior high school students in geometry learning,which in order to provide some suggestions for teachers.In this paper,by using questionnaire and test volume to survey the study of the eighth graders that in a shanghai middle school whose difficultly in geometry.Questionnaires from students’ interested in learning,learning attitude and learning methods, students will, the teacher-student relationship,geometry learning difficulties to survey the difficultly in geometry,and test volumes are prepared in accordance with the level of geometric thinking for to survey the level of thinking and learning difficulties geometric.After the end of the investigation,using excel software for statistical data and analysis,summarized the difficulties in junior high school students learning geometry encountered, which mainly in the following areas:(1) Learning attitude is not correct geometry, learning methods inappropriate and poor study habits.(2) Interest in learning geometry is not high and lack of self-confidence.(3)The self-learning ability of students is weak.(4) Students master the language of geometry insufficient.(5) Lack a deep understanding of the concept.(6) Proofs do not know how to start, reasoning ability is weak.(7) Interpret blueprints, knowledge map, drawing.(8) Have difficult in Contact real life.From the intellectual and non-intellectual factors of students and teachers to explain the problem of eighth graders in learning geometry.Then by consulting experts and author of understanding to make a teaching suggestion that focus on student learning attitude,the professionalism of teachers and teaching geometry and so on.The geometry teaching including the concept of teaching geometry,geometric language teaching,teaching and knowledge map and plotted several teaching provenrecommendations title regard.
