Solid geometry is a mathematical discipline that studies the relationship between the shape,size and position of objects in the real world.It has important educational value and practical significance in cultivating students’ core qualities of mathematical discipline such as intuitive imagination,logical reasoning and mathematical operation.Due to the abstract,rigorous and complex characteristics of solid geometry,there are many cognitive obstacles in the establishment of spatial concept and the cultivation of spatial thinking ability.Therefore,under the background of mathematics curriculum reform,how is the learning status of students’ solid geometry? What are the main learning difficulties of students? How to overcome these learning difficulties and obstacles? And so on,it becomes an important research topic to be solved urgently in teaching practice.Based on the theory and method of measurement and evaluation of mathematics education,this paper investigates and analyzes the current situation and causes of difficulties in the preliminary study of solid geometry for senior one students in a middle school in Nanchang City.It can be concluded that high school students’ initial learning difficulties in solid geometry mainly have four aspects:(1)cognitive difficulties,which are manifested as weak comprehensive knowledge application ability and spatial imagination ability,poor computing ability and information extraction and transformation ability,and low logical reasoning ability;(2)Behavioral difficulties,mainly reflected in bad learning habits and problem solving methods are not systematic;(3)Psychological difficulties,mainly manifested as serious fear of difficulties,low self-cognitive evaluation,lack of confidence in learning;(4)The influence of external environment is mainly reflected in the difference of teaching means and the influence of learning atmosphere.According to the result analysis of the causes of learning difficulties,based on the concept of APOS,taking "folding problem" and "cuboid diagonal section problem" as teaching examples,corresponding teaching suggestions are put forward as follows:(1)Pay attention to closed-loop thinking training,guide students to review and reflect,and reasonably conduct questioning teaching;(2)Enrich teaching means and make reasonable use of multimedia teaching tools;(3)Pay attention to the teaching of basic concepts and theorems,and cultivate spatial concepts and thinking according to the mining of reality models;(4)Overcome students’ fear of difficulties and create a good learning atmosphere.Finally,with the purpose of implementing the core mathematics literacy,based on the literature research and survey results,we take the teaching design of "the judgment theorem of plane and plane perpendicularity" as an example to reflect the teaching countermeasures in the specific teaching design,and further feedback the effectiveness of the proposed teaching suggestions.
