Since the new curriculum reform, many experts and scholars and front-line teachers did a lot of related research of writing teaching, with a certain degree of progress from theory to practice. However, there are still some problems, writing teaching has made progress at the same time, especially in rural areas. This paper is based on the rural primary school’ fifth grade writing teaching, and analysis the problems that exist in the period of project teaching, exploring the reasons behind the problem, and put forward the corresponding solution strategies.This paper is divided into five parts:The introduction mainly introduces the reason of choosing the topic, the purpose and significance of the study, and the definition of related concepts, literature review and research methods.The second part is the outline of the primary school’s writing teaching, and mainly explains the connotation, objectives and requirements of the primary school’s writing teaching,the style and content of writing.In the third part, I find the problems existed in writing teaching, through the questionnaire, interview, classroom observation, classroom practice of rural primary school high grade writing current situation investigation and attribute to the problem on the basis of the discovery of the problem.The fourth part is about the author’s practice of writing teaching in the rural primary school.The fifth part is in view of the problems existing in the rural school writing teaching,combined with the author’s teaching practice in the classroom and put forward improvement strategy of writing teaching from the perspective of teachers and students respectively. Students perspective:develop good writing habits; cultivate students’ correct writing motivation. Teachers perspective:improve the teacher’s accomplishment; establish scientific writing teaching philosophy; Optimized project design of classroom teaching; Build scientific teaching evaluation strategy in the writing teaching.Finally, Summarize the conclusion of the text, pointing out the inadequacies of the paper.
