With the rapid development of Internet, the learning model of mobile learning and micro learning has been widely accepted, people’s learning direction changed from the traditional classroom learning model to a variety of learning model. Thanks to the popularity of wi-fi network and 4G / 3G network and widespread use of the mobile terminal, people could learn anytime and anywhere. Android system, one of the mobile terminal device, with a larger proportion of the market, it’s because that Android system has the features of high cost performance and good open. Through the survey of college students use mobile devices status of mobile learning and the discovery by analyzing the statistical results, it shows that Android phones students who used in college are more than other phones, college students have higher recognition on this way of learning by mobile phone and give more expectations to mobile learning by using mobile learning software. It is based on the design and development of Android mobile learning software, the needs of college students that target users’ learning and characteristics of mobile learning, This thesis built the design process model of mobile learning software, and ultimately designed and developed a mobile learning software to assist classroom learning through the example of the course "modern educational technology"The main works of this study completed are as follows:First, on the basis of referencing the theory of mobile learning design, the theory of network learning software development model and the theory of software development model,the study constructed the model of the design and development of mobile learning software.Defined the various aspects of the software development need to complete the specific operation,so as to better manage all aspects of software development, and improve the efficiency of software development.Second, Target users of the software is college students who using mobile devices for mobile learning, this thesis surveyed basic situation of College Students’ mobile learning,analyzed their learning readiness and learning preferences, and determined target user through interviews with some of the students. By the target user and scene analysis and software functional and non functional requirements for requirement analysis to obtain total software requirements.Third, this thesis completed the mobile learning software design and development based on Android. In the software design, first analysis the characteristics of learners and course, and then designed teaching process of excerpt chapters; secondly, the structure of software was overalldesigned and its function structure was also designed; finally, the software interface and navigation style are designed. In the software development, the software was developed by app Inventor2 tool, database establishment of the development process and function modules of the software implementation were also described in detail. After the completion of software, the software were tested, and the software was improved according to the test results.
