A Study On The Construction Of Ideological And Political Courses In International Diploma Education

Nowadays,the international school and international education becoming increasingly prosperous,however,there are lots of problems have been exposed in the implement of traditional course in the international education. For instance,there’s no unified regulations about the implementation of the ideological and political course in international education.Although there are some international school having economic courses,but still no any unified standards to evaluate the implementation of those courses.Shanghai Municipal Education Commission issued the document(2013) No.37 defined in article 2: “To carry out the Sino-foreign integration course.The course scheme,curriculum and teaching materials should be examined.And Chinese,ideological and political course,history and geography must be a compulsory course.”The document also stipulates: “Student who study in international school and who accepted international education must complete high school learning according the course scheme,achieve the requirement of the related courses and reach the qualified level to get the diploma,‘international courses’ will be added on the cover of diploma.”The documents show that all the students must have these four kinds of courses.This graduation thesis basic on this background,try to explore how to carry out the construction of the ideological and political course in the International Baccalaureate education.This graduation thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction of the full text.It’s consist of how the problems been put forward,the background of research,the significance of research,the current status of research,the definition of concept and theoretical principles.The second part is the necessity of construct ideological and political course in International Baccalaureate education.It’s include five aspects which is to helping students form scientific value orientation,helping students develop sharp thinking,helping students establish correct political stance,helping students build good moral quality and helping students based on the traditional culture to develop international view.In the third part is the challenge of construct ideological and political course in International Baccalaureate education which from six aspects to discuss.It’s the problem of the ideological and political courses are largely invisible,the implementation of instructional objectives need to be in place,the temporal effectiveness of content of courses need to be improve,theconstruction of teachers’ quality need to strengthen and the authoritative organization need to be established.In the fourth part is the strategy of construct ideological and political course in International Baccalaureate education.They are based on the curriculum standards of ideological and political courses,better understand the students’ information of International Baccalaureate to built school-based curriculum,use citizen education for reference to innovative teaching form,fully understand the mode of International Baccalaureate,build some moral education activities and improve teachers’ international perspective.
