Along with the development of technology, many schools use electronic devices to assist teaching. Kunming International Academy (KIA) is the only international school which has passed local and international accreditation within southwest China. Along with the number of students from different countries increasing, and more electronic devices, IT devices management became more and more complicated so that IT budget has to cost more and IT personnel also have to work harder.The research purpose of this article is to optimize the management of the electronic teaching devices at KIA, complete the inventory list and how to manage the disposal of devices. This article used three methods analysis:system analysis, combination of both qualitative and quantitative analysis, and research analysis.This article researches KIA’s current electronic devices’management situation and compares the cost and value of the electronic devices. It is based on electronic device purchases, management, inventory, disposal, rental devices, devices to be loaned, stock devices and parts, and a list of all the problems and shortages at KIA. The focus is on analyzing the cause of problems in electronic devices’management, inserting the idea of electronic teaching devices life cycles, and making relevant managing strategies for four main procedures:purchase, maintenance, inventory, disposal, also giving out the steps and plans of managing the electronic teaching devices’life cycles. All in all, the research intends to have the long-term effect of improving the efficient use of all the resources at KIA, save school costs, enhance and optimize management, and reach to the international standard degree.
