As the future of our country as well as the hope of nation, middle school students are playing a very important role in the construction of socialist and spiritual civilization. It is of profound practical meaning to arm middle school students with theories of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, who are in the formation period of their outlooks on world, life and values.The CPC puts great emphasis on strengthening the education of Marxism view of religion and persisting in the struggle against feudal superstition, modern superstition together with heresy. In the context of our nation vigorously promoting quality-oriented education of students, the phenomenon of theism occurring among middle school students has become a problem in the education field, which cannot be overlooked. In the current academic researches, studies on theism among middle school students are relatively few. But from the strategic viewpoint of the country and the expectations of society as well as parents, the researches on middle school students’ theism phenomenon is of great significance. The following questions are worthy of our consideration and attention:middle school students’ cognitive status of the Marxist view of religion as a whole, the phenomenon of theism among these students, and the related educational measures taken by schools, society and families.Based on theories of Marxism view of religion and via the methods of questionnaire, case study, resourcing and theoretical researches, this paper conducts investigations and analysis on the phenomenon of theism among middle school students, learns about the status quo of their education of Marxist view of religion, interprets the existence of theism among them, analyzes the causes and effects of theism among these students, and find the social, educational as well as their own reasons for the occurrence of theism among middle school students. In terms of ideological understanding, we should confirm that theism among middle school students objectively exist. We should be clear that Marxism view of religion is an indispensible part of scientific outlook on the world. Moreover, the viability of carrying out education on Marxism view of religion should be explored. Suggestions that education on Marxism view of religion should be fully incorporated in textbooks and classrooms are supposed to be put forward. The approaches to properly shape and combine middle school students’ outlooks on the world, life and values with scientific teaching should be explored. It is our sincere hope that the existence of theism among middle school students can attract the attention of educational authorities and therefore, necessary policy support, research investment and practice support can be given.
