The system takes the behavioral learning theory、constructivist learning theory、multimedia cognitive learning theory as the theoretical basis, applies the speech signal processing technology to extract the characteristic parameters of speech signal — — Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficient(MFCC), using the template matching technique to calculate the gap of characteristic parameters between the test speech and standard speech signal, and regard it as the result of learner’s test. Finally, building a English pronunciation assistant learning software with pictures、text、audio and video. Speech evaluation based on template matching technology enables software feedback the learner’s pronunciation score timely. At the same time, the video,which provided by the system, present the shape of standard pronunciation mouth, it can make the learners grasp the essentials of pronunciation quickly. At last, the function and performance of software were tested in the laboratory. After the test, choosing 56 students,grade five class two of Jian Hua school in Kunming, as the experimental object. Using the method of contrast experiment to test the effect of the system.And using the questionnaire to confirm the effect of English pronunciation assisted learning software.The learning software is not only suitable for the learner to review and preview, but also suitable for the learner who wants to correct their English pronunciation.Although the software can’t replace the traditional classroom education, it can be used as an effective supplement of classroom teaching.
