This article proceeds from the educational ideology of subjectivity to expose the meaning of students' subjectivity and the significance of developing students' subjectivity. Furthermore, it expounds in detail the ways to develop students' subjectivity in teaching foreign language in middle school.Education is a social activity primarily participated by man. It is in nature a nurturing and educating process to develop students' subjectivity, i.e., it emphasizes students' active partipation; advocates that teaching effects can be transformed into students' spiritual wealth through their active performance. The subject of foreign languages should inevitably embody the educational concept of subjectivity in the teaching process owing to its own characters and social needs.This article expounds the idea from 4 aspects:Part I : The meaning of students' subjectivity ?the theoretical basis of the article.Part II: The significance of the development of students' subjectivity - to expose the urgency to carry out the subjectivity education from both positive and negative aspects.Part HI: The ways to develop students' subjectivity- the main body of the article, which is elaborated from four specific aspects. The relationship between teachers and students teaching tactics in foreign language class in middle school, educational reform and teaching evaluation.Part IV: Several problems that should be cared When the principle is put into practice.Finally, the conclusion is achieved that with identification of education reform nowadays, our education must be student-oriented, bring their sense of participation into full play and develop their capacity to acquire knowledge actively. Only by this way can education meet theneeds of social development; only by this way can qualified students with subjectivity be educated to conform to the development of society.
